Today, we’re excited to introduce a brand-new project that is still in the planning stages: a collection of handmade aluminum wire ornaments for the holidays.
As makers, we’re always looking for new ways to create unique handmade Christmas ornaments, and this idea immediately caught our attention. Using colorful aluminum wire, we hope to create festive designs including wire Christmas tree ornaments, wire snowflake ornaments, stars, candy canes, and other seasonal favorites that can be enjoyed year after year.

Our Plan for These Handmade Christmas Ornaments
Right now, we’re in the exciting planning phase. Before we can create finished ornaments, we need to experiment with designs, patterns, and construction methods.
Our next steps include:
- Sketching ornament ideas
- Creating patterns for wire snowflake ornaments and wire Christmas tree ornaments
- Practicing wire-bending techniques
- Testing different ornament sizes
- Photographing our progress along the way
- Refining designs before creating final products
One of our favorite parts of running a craft business is learning new skills. Not every project works perfectly the first time, and we’re excited to share both the successes and the challenges as we work through this new aluminum wire craft project.
